Matt Harding, currently based in Los Angeles, was born and raised in Detroit.
Hi. Like the homepage says, I am a documentary photographer covering urban life and the natural world. I also take photos of people sometimes.
I first picked up an SLR camera in 2010 when I had the opportunity to shoot Detroit Tigers games for an online sports magazine. I was 16, and I became hooked.
Since then, I've photographed presidents, musicians and even Pope Francis. I've also worked as a newspaper reporter, photographing NASA's Orion parachute testing, military exercises and Border Patrol operations.
I've photographed in Costa Rica, Cuba, Italy and numerous other places around the globe, and I'm always looking for the next adventure. Belize, Guatemala, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Nepal, South Africa, Iran, Colombia, Uruguay, Albania, China, Iceland, Jamaica and Ghana top my lengthy travel bucket list.
While baseball brought me into photography, traveling has enhanced my love for it significantly. In 2018, I bought a Class C motorhome to live in and launched On The Run RV, a travel project that I’ve mostly abandoned (but I’m keeping it on my website anyways!) In the meantime, I shoot concerts in L.A.
All photos on this website are available for purchase (I don't watermark my photos, but please don't steal them). I have an extensive archive that's not published here, so feel free to ask if you're looking for something in particular. I am also available for shoots worldwide. Hit the contact button above for inquiries, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you've made it this far, you might as well click the shop button and show your support!
