Matt Harding, currently based in Los Angeles, was born and raised in Detroit.
That's me on the left. Like the website says, I am a documentary photographer covering urban life and the natural world.
I first picked up an SLR camera in 2010 when I had the opportunity to shoot Detroit Tigers games for an online sports magazine. I was 16, and I became hooked.
Since then, I've photographed presidents, musicians and even Pope Francis. I've also worked as a newspaper reporter, photographing NASA's Orion parachute testing, military exercises and Border Patrol operations.
I've photographed in Costa Rica, Cuba, Italy and numerous other places around the globe, and I'm always looking for the next adventure. Belize, Guatemala, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Nepal, South Africa, Iran, Colombia, Uruguay, Albania, China, Iceland, Jamaica and Ghana top my travel bucket list. If you live in any of those places, be sure to say hello!
While baseball brought me into photography, traveling has enhanced my love for it significantly.
In July 2018, I'll be launching On The Run RV, a long-term travel project (stay tuned)! In the meantime, I shoot concerts in L.A. I'd also love to photograph musicians or other performers, so say hello if you're in the area.
All photos on this website are available for purchase (I don't watermark my photos, but please don't steal them). I have an extensive archive that's not published here, so feel free to ask if you're looking for something in particular. I am also available for shoots worldwide. Hit the contact button above for inquiries, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you've made it this far, you might as well click the shop button and show your support!
